LHDN e-Invoicing Compliance

LHDN e-Invoicing for NetSuite

BOC e-Invoice is built natively within NetSuite. It submits your invoices directly to LHDN’s MyInvois portal without middleware, without manual intervention, and without breaking your existing NetSuite workflows.

The Compliance Gap

Your Invoices Are Compliant. Your System Isn't.

From 1 August 2024, LHDN began enforcing mandatory e-invoicing for Malaysian businesses above the applicable revenue threshold. Phases 1 through 3 are already under full enforcement. Phase 4 businesses (annual turnover between RM1 million and RM5 million) must comply from 1 January 2026, with full penalty enforcement from 1 January 2028.

Most businesses on NetSuite are using the MyInvois portal to submit manually one invoice at a time. That works until volume picks up. Then it becomes a liability.

The Product

What is BOC e-Invoice

BOC e-Invoice connects your NetSuite account directly to LHDN’s MyInvois API. No third-party middleware, no manual exports. Every invoice, credit note, debit note, and self-billed document your business raises in NetSuite is validated and submitted to LHDN in the same workflow. This is e-invoicing software Malaysia businesses on NetSuite have been waiting for.

Common Questions

What businesses ask before they book a demo

Does BOC e-Invoice work with my existing NetSuite account?

Yes. BOC e-Invoice is built to connect directly with your existing NetSuite account. There is no migration, no separate login, and no change to your current configuration. If you are on NetSuite, you are ready to get started.

Which LHDN document types does it support?

BOC e-Invoice supports all seven document types currently required under the MyInvois framework: Invoice, Credit Note, Debit Note, Customer Refund, Vendor Bill (Self-bill), Vendor Debit (Self-bill), and Vendor Credit (Self-bill).

Does my business need to comply with LHDN e-invoicing?

If your annual turnover exceeds RM1 million, yes. Mandatory enforcement applies from Phase 1 (RM100m+, August 2024) through Phase 4 (RM1m–RM5m, full enforcement from January 2028). Businesses below RM1 million annual turnover are currently exempt but may opt in voluntarily.

What happens when LHDN updates its guidelines?

BlackOak monitors LHDN regulatory updates and releases updates to the integration accordingly. Your subscription includes ongoing legislation updates so compliance is maintained without additional development cost on your side.

How is BOC e-Invoice different from the MyInvois portal?

The MyInvois portal requires manual submission: one document at a time, logged into a separate government platform. BOC e-Invoice submits directly from NetSuite in the background, supporting both real-time and batch processing. No portal login required for day-to-day operations.
